Abstract
For any observable in an equilibrium quantum system in a finite volume, we show a method of deriving Mori′s memory kernel equation, which consists of three components, Mori′s frequency, memory function, and fluctuation, i.e., we give a concrete mathematical expression for the three components in terms of an autocorrelation function of the observable.
