Abstract

Adhesion between two polymer films consisting of one-end grafted (straight) and two-end grafted (loop) polymer is studied by coarse-grained molecular dynamics. From our simulations, we can observe two kinds of separations; fibril separation and cavity formation. The adhesion force of the former type is much larger than the latter case. The former separation can only be obtained at the lower temperature than the glass transition temperature of grafted films. The adhesion force of the loop-straight case is larger than that of the straight -straight case. This can be explained by the relation between the separation types and the glass transition temperature. Detail of our results will be reported in the session.
