Abstract

The alkyltrichlorosilane, fluoroalkyltrichlorosilane and their mixed monolayers are prepared by Langmuir method at an air-water interface and their molecular aggregation states are investigated on the basis of transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and scanning force microscopy (SFM). The surface micromechanical properties of the monolayers are characterized by lateral force microscopy (LFM) and scanning viscoelasticity microscopy (SVM).
