Abstract

Rapid deposition of grains from debris flow occurs in a channel whose slope angle decreases abruptly. A model of the deposition is presented on the basis of experiments and theoretical analysis of the movement of grains during deposition. From the model an equation of bed changes due to the depostion is derived. The calculated bed profile is compared with experimentals data.
