Abstract

Atmospheric diurnal and semidiurnal tides simulated by Middle Atmosphere Circulation Model at Kyushu University (MACMKU) for equinox conditions are analyzed. It is shown that in addition to the migrating diurnal and semidiurnal tides, non-migrating tides have nonnegligible amplitudes in the upper mesosphere and lower thermosphere.
