Abstract

A spatial distribution of the magnetic flux trapped in superconducting thin films is measured using an array of Josephson tunnel junctions as magnetic sensor. The present method, which uses an increase of quasiparticle tunneling currents due to magnetic flux trapped in junction electrodes, gives magnetic-flux resolution of the order of a single flux quantum.
