Abstract

Advances in molecular imaging provide new insights into the pathophysiology of many diseases. In this research, we have development functional molecule for MRI contrast agent of the liver. The agent, LAC-DOTA, is expected accumulation into hepatocytes. The molecular imaging ability of LAC-DOTA was measured by measuring the liver imaging ability of a normal mouse and a liver cirrhosis mouse. The LAC-DOTA enhanced MRI imaging may be emerged as a promising modality for detection and diagnosis of liver cirrhosis.
