Abstract

We previously assigned the human α₂-plasmin inhibitor gene (PLI) to 18p11,1 →q11.2 by isotopic in situ hybridization. However, results obtained subsequently via Southern blot analysis of somatic cell hybrids and fluorescence in situ hybridization studies indicate that the gene is located at 17p13. Accordingly, we reassign PLI to 17p13.
