Abstract
Light curves are formulated using bidirectional reflectance distribution functions (BRDFs), which describe the ratio of light intensity between irradiance and radiance. The simplest BRDF is parameterized with Lambertian diffusion and perfect specular reflection. This model has been widely used in research on light curves as well as solar radiation pressure (SRP) modeling. SRP and its torque are one of main disturbances that contribute to spacecraft translational and rotational motion, which are also formulated with BRDFs.
