Abstract

Pseudogaps of ARPES (angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy) in underdoped high-Tc cuprate superconductors in the normal state are discussed on the basis of the itinerant-localized duality model. It is shown that the one-particle spectral weight of electrons moving in the background of short-range ordered localized spins has pseudogap structures, if the spectral weight transfer of spin fluctuations, from nested spin fluctuations at lower energies to sloppy spin waves at higher energies, is appreciable.
