Abstract

On the basis of the itinerant-localized duality model the charge response of strongly correlated metals near the Mott transition is studied in comparison with Raman scattering experiments which show non-Fermi-liquid or marginal-Fermi-liquid behaviors. Such behaviors are due to incoherent contribution which is neglected in the ordinary Fermi-liquid theory.
