Abstract

This paper proposes a highly efficient integrated voice and data packet access on downlink for the next generation multimedia mobile communication systems. The proposed method is made by the combination of two approaches, namely (1) TDMA with a dynamic slot assignment and (2) CD MA with an adaptive spreading factor control. The proposed integrated voice and data packet access method is compared with two counter methods and the results show that the proposed method achieves the high rate downlink data transmission without disturbing voice transmission.
