Abstract

The Main Zone is composed of various kinds of metamorphic rocks, unmetamorphosed sediments, and basic and acidic plutonic rocks of synmetamorphic to postmetamorphic intrusions. The Main Zone can be divided into 5 metamorphic zones: zone I greenschist facies, zone II transitional zone, zone III amphibolite facies, zone IV transitional zone, zone V granulite facies. It is suggested that the whole sequence of the Main Zone represents a crustal section including the lower crust. -from English summary
