Abstract

The formation of Eu(DPM)3:BCP complex by vacuum co-deposition process was investigated. An efficient energy transfer from BCP to Eu 3+ ions was observed in the photoluminescence of the complex with an excitation of the BCP absorption. This energy transfer was found to be the result of BCP coordination with Eu(DPM)3. The selection and combination of ligand materials were found to enhance photoluminescence and electroluminescence characteristics of Eu complexes.
