Abstract
Equal-channel angular (ECA) pressing is a processing procedure capable of refining grain sizes below 1 μm in metallic materials. This study investigates the effects of pressing temperature and sample size on the development of a fine-grained structure. The temperature rise and the applied load during ECA pressing are carefully measured. This study suggests the possibility of scaling-up the ECA-pressing process.
