    Abstract

Confusion but no doubt: Two types of PtII dimer complexes of N-confused porphyrin (depicted) were synthesized and the structures were unequivocally elucidated by X-ray crystal analyses. Both complexes contain a metallocycle that binds to a Pt center by an outer-nitrogen atom of the confused porphyrin, and by an orthocarbon atom of a meso-aryl group.
