Abstract
The factors which exacerbate atopic dermatitis are varied. Cytokines are secreted cellular proteins that regulate mutual cell-cell interactions. When we consider the mechanisms of IgE production and eosinophilia in allergic disorders, Th1 and Th2 cytokines are seen to play a critical role. In this article, we review the exacerbation factors and cytokines participating in the pathomechanisms of atopic dermatitis.
