Abstract

Temper softening behavior of Fe-C binary martensitic steels was studied. Matrix strength was evaluated by using nanoindentation method. Results showed the temperature dependence of micro-Vickers hardness which shows a 'hump' around 673 K. It was also found that natrix strength decreases with tempering temperature.
