Abstract

Here we report the chemoenzymatic synthesis of glycoconjugate polymer using ionic liquid to prepare the biomaterials in the environmental benign conditions. The ionic liquid enhanced the yield and selectivity of the lipase-catalyzed esterification of trehalose with divinyl sebacate. The consequent trehalose vinyl ester was polymerized, and the interaction with lectins and amyloid β was investigated.
