Abstract
The electronic Grüneisen parameter, Γe, is estimated for bcc Cr1-xMnx alloys from the low-temperature specific heats and the thermal expansion. It is shown that the value of Γe is anomalously large and that it changes sign from positive to negative at around x=0.6. The results are discussed on the basis of the two-level model for Mn electronic states in bcc lattices.
