Abstract
A new preparation method of Ti-Al intermetallic compounds by wire arc spraying is developed. Titanium wire used as the anode and aluminum wire is used as the cathode was sprayed. The intermetallic compounds were prepared during the droplet deformation on the substrate as well as during the droplet flight. Enhancement of the intermetallic compound preparation results from higher substrate temperature.
