N2 - The aerodynamic characteristics of rectangular, elliptical and triangular planforms with an aspect ratio of 4 are investigated at low Reynolds number regime (Re = 60,000 - 5,000) in a low density wind tunnel. This paper describes the effects of Reynolds number and the planeforms on the aerodynamic performance for each wing. The aerodynamic performance is little affected by Reynolds number effects, however a change of the stall characteristics and an increase of the drag coefficient are observed at Re = 5,000. Compared with the aerodynamic characteristics for each planform at the same Reynolds number, there is a remarkable difference in the stall characteristics.
