Abstract
The electrical resistivity of single crystalline TmNi2B2C has been measured at high pressures up to 2 GPa and magnetic fields up to 5 T. It is found that the superconducting transition temperature Tc and the upper critical field Hc2 decrease with increasing pressure, ∂Tc/∂P = - 0.50 K/GPa and ∂Hc2/∂P = - 0.38 T/GPa. The present results are compared with those of other borocarbides and discussed by taking into account the interplay between the superconductivity and the antiferromagnetism.
