Abstract

The article discusses the phase transition behavior of aqueous molecular membranes of single-chain and triple-chain amphiphiles, as studied by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). The present article summarizes the DSC behavior of most of the synthetic molecular membranes. These data should be valuable in creating novel bilayer membranes with designed phase transition characteristics.
