Abstract

Several conditions necessary to establish T safety and self-sufficiency in a fusion reactor system were discussed here. In order to achieve the safe and reliable technology on fusion reactors, more rigorous disciplines should be set up based on lessons learned from previous severe accidents associated with enormous release of radioactive nuclides including Fukushima 1st fission nuclear station. Our recent advances on T technology related with a blanket system of a helical-type fusion reactor were introduced here as an example of the future commercial fusion reactor system. Technical research targets to be achieved in the near future are set up on the T recovery ratio from the blanket loop and on the PRF of T through heat exchanger tubes.
