The authors would like to thank Kevin Tuck (the National History Museum, London) for allowing the first author to examine the lectotype of N. chrysoprasias. Issei Ohshima (Kyoto Prefectural University), Naomichi Ohara (ELKU), and Miao Zhipeng ( South China Agricultural University ) supported the survey in Yunnan. Kimitaka Sasaki (Fukuoka, Japan) provided us with some Japanese local literatures. This study was supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China [grant number 32111540167 ] and the Biodiversity Survey and JSPS KAKENHI [grant number JP16H05766 ].

N2 - Nemophora chrysoprasias (Meyrick, 1907), previously known only by the type series from Assam, India, was discovered in the Yunnan Province of China. This study is the first to illustrate the male and female genitalia of N. chrysoprasias. Despite their differing appearances, this species is determined to be related to N. rubrofascia Christoph, 1882 based on their morphological characters and DNA barcode sequences.
