Abstract

We have employed ink-jet reaction method for direct fabrication of calcium tungstate patterns with the minimum width of around 150 μm on cellulose based organic substrates without any post-firing and/or sintering. The XRD patterns revealed that the formed phase was a well-crystallized single phase of CaWO4 without any other impurity phases and the crystallite size was about 20 ± 4 nm. The Raman spectra were further confirmed the fabricated patterns consisted of CaWO4. The adhesion of CaWO4 to the substrate was good and revealed by SEM observations. The patterned CaWO4 showed the original blue luminescence when exposed to ultraviolet radiation (wavelength 254 nm) under dark room conditions at room temperature.
