Abstract

Salivary gland tissues outside of the major salivary glands are classified into minor, accessory and heterotopic salivary glands, which are located various sites of the head and neck. Knowledge of the distribution of these salivary gland tissues and imaging findings of tumors originating in these salivary gland tissues is essential for correct diagnosis and appropriate clinical management.
