A dielectric capacitance thermometer was fabricated using KTa 0.99 Nb 0.01 O 3 (KTN) quantum ferroelectric material for assembling a prototype of the dielectric microcalorimeter (DMC). The prototype of the DMC was assembled with the KTN thermometer and irradiated with alpha rays with an energy of 5.5 MeV with applying a constant bias voltage at a temperature of 100 mK. For recording detection signal pulses, the trigger signals were generated by shaping output of a preamplifier using a band-pass filter with a pass frequency of 1–10 kHz.
