N2 - This is an interim report on the design of the Cross-Breeding Diversity Support (CBDS) System, as it relates to cross-breeding individual diversity in a community for Computer Supported Collaborative Learning (CSCL). This system employs web-search scheme procedures to determine individual diversity. The objectives of the System's learning community are: (1) The Activation of one's innovative thinking and creative ideas; (2) the promotion of community creativity to produce new and original works; (3) supporting the management and proliferation of the community's knowledge; (4) collaboration with others. The development of the CBDS System has significant implications for both research and for forecasting broader social trends. From a practical perspective, The CBDS System could facilitate learners' integration of diverse ideas. As a research tool, The CBDS System could be useful for exploring how diversity contributes to community creativity, as well as to individual learning process in CSCL.
