Abstract
A new computational system is proposed and developed to simulate magnetic powder behavior under applied magnetic field. Discrete Element Method (DEM) is employed and coupled with a magnetic Finite Element Method to estimate magnetic field which may be disturbed by powder particles. Using the present system, growth of column powder structures, which are observed in actual experiments, is simulated.
