Abstract
The solubilities of high boiling compounds such as coal liquefaction products are essentially required to design the supercritical gas extraction processes which have been given much attention recently as one of the new separation technologies in chemical and related industries. In the present study, it is attempted to correlate recently reported solubility data of coal liquefaction products in several supercritical gases by using the perturbed-hard-sphere equation of state and the Soave-Redlich-Kwong equation of state.
