Abstract

This paper introduces several types of systems that involve both neural networks and fuzzy systems. Cooperative systems are systems that combine different advantages of both technologies. First, research in this field is surveyed and categorized into seven types. Second, one example of actual R&D for cooperative systems is introduced. Finally several consumer applications that use both neural networks and fuzzy logic are introduced. They are not prototypes but commercial products that were actually put on the market.
