Abstract

We investigate the big-bang nucleosynthesis (BBN) in a Brans-Dicke model with a varying Λ term. We find that the cosmic expansion rate differs appreciably from that of the Friedmann model during the BBN epoch. The produced abundances of 4He, D, and 7Li are consistent with both the observed ones and the baryon density obtained from WMAP.
