N2 - We have analyzed the observational constraints on a brane-world cosmology in which the exchange of mass-energy between the bulk and the bane is allowed. We have shown that it is possible to have a A = 0 cosmology for an observer on the brane which satisfies standard cosmological constraints including Type la supernovae at high redshift, the CMB temperature fluctuations, and the matter power spectrum. This model even accounts for the observed suppression of the CMB power spectrum at low multipoles. In this paradigm, the cosmic acceleration is attributable to the flow of matter from the bulk to the brane. An interesting observational consequence of this cosmology is that the present dark-matter content is significantly larger than that of a standard ACDM cosmology.
