China: Houses for ethnic minorities in Yunnan Province

Abstract

From the summer of 1990 to the winter of 1992, as the Japan Private University Promotion Foundation special research "Architectural Planning Study on Traditional Chinese Houses," at that time, the Japan-China Joint Study Group, represented by Professor Yoshimi Urano at Kyushu Sangyo University, conducted residential investigation of ethnic minorities in Yunnan Province. The study team was divided into two teams. First, the planning team gathered local hearings and housing drawings, and based on the results, the environmental group selected target residences and measured the indoor environment centered on the thermal environment.
