Characterization of synthetic imogolite nanotubes as gas storage

The characterization of synthetic imogolite nanotubes as gas storage was described. The immogolite nanotubes were synthesized from a highly concentrated starting solution under hydrothermal conditions. The X-ray diffraction profiles of the synthetic and natural imogolites were shown. The adsorption isotherm of water vapor was determined using a BELSORP-18 at 25°C. It was observed that the natural imogolite separated from a Kitakami pumice bed was used as a reference material, named Ki-G.
