Abstract

We propose a novel biomedical platform which consists of a cubic artificial eggshell containing a chick embryo (3D) with arrayed microchannels (2D) for angiogenesis studies. The cubic eggshell with PDMS membrane allows the total amount of oxygen to pass into the egg for the chick embryo culturing. We newly developed a new methodology to induce blood vessels into multiple PDMS channels to realize the proposed platform without significant impact on the chick embryo culturing.
