Abstract
The magnetic structure of the cubic Laves-phase compound EuAl2 has been determined by powder neutron diffraction. It is simple antiferromagnetic, a behaviour quite anomalous within the ferromagnetic series RAl2 (R= Rare Earth). This exception seems to be related to the divalent character of europium in this compound.
