Abstract

This paper presents the numerical analysis procedure to solve the fluid-structural vibration of three dimensional structures with complicated configuration such as ship structures, offshore structures and so on. In this numerical analysis procedure, modal analysis technique combines the added mass matrix of fluid calculated using the boundary element method with the dynamic characteristics of the structure obtained by experiments or the finite element numerical code. This numerical analysis procedure was applied to solve the dynamic pressure and the added mass of the fluid-filled double spheres and the vibration problem of an actual ship structure.
