Abstract

The development of an advanced high-temperature ultracentrifuge apparatus for mega-gravity materials science was presented. The apparatus consisted of an air turbine motor with ceramic ball bearings and dumper section, a sample rotor, a vacuum chamber and a heating system. The double-structural dumper bushing and the nonbored rotor raised the maximum rotational speed and improved the stability.
