Abstract
A 18-year-old woman presented with complaints of sore throat and fever. Infectious mononucleosis was firstly suspected and examinations were conducted for remittent fever, sore throat and hepatic dysfunction. However, even one week later, she showed no recover. After infectious disease, malignant tumor, and collagenosis were denied, adult Still disease was diagnosed. This disease is characterized by fever, eruption, arthralgia, and sore throat, hepatic dysfunction, and usually diagnosed and treated by internists. However, otolaryngologists should aware of this disease because their similar characteristic of both diseases.
