Abstract

A 70-year-old woman was suffering from perineal pain and voiding difficulty. Vaginal examination revealed an elastic-hard mass beneath the anterior vaginal wall. She was referred to our hospital for the mass. Computed tomography showed a pelvic mass that was suspected invaded the bladder. Pathological examination of transvaginal biopsy suggested adenocarcinoma. The patient underwent anterior pelvic exenteration for adenocarcinoma of the vagina. Pathological diagnosis was adenocarcinoma in urethral diverticulum. We employed adjuvant radiation therapy because of positive margin. Fourteen months after the operation, the patient has no evidence of recurrence.
