We appreciate very much Brian Fisher, Robert Zuparko, and colleagues (California Academy of Science, USA) for providing us with the opportunity to examine Dinapsis specimens collected by their intensive field research in Madagascar, without which this study would not have been possible. We are also grateful to C. Villemant and A. Touret-Alby of the Muséum national d’Histoire naturelle, Paris, France for allowing us to examine the holotype of Dinapsis hirtipes Hedqvist, 1967, Lars Vilhelmsen and Simon van Noort for their critical reviewing of the earlier manuscript. We extend our thanks to Larry Haimowitz and Robin Hill for their hospitality during TM's visit to the University of Wyoming. Research support for TM was partly provided by JSPS KAKENHI (JP22880035, JP19H00942). Research support for SRS was partly provided by McIntire-Stennis Grant Project number WYO-530-14, Studies of Parasitoid Wasps of Forest Ecosystems, partly by the Faculty-Grant-in-Aid program from the University of Wyoming, and partly by National Science Foundation grant DEB 14-42110, from the Dimensions of Biodiversity program. Any opinions, findings, and conclusions expressed are those of the authors and do not necessarily reflect the views of the National Science Foundation.

N2 - Five new species, Dinapsis albicauda, n. sp., D. cresta, n. sp., D. luteus, n. sp., D. planifrons, n. sp., and D. scriptus, n. sp. are described from the island of Madagascar. The Dinapsis hirtipes species-group is proposed based on D. hirtipes Hedqvist, 1967 and the five newly described species. A key to species of the D. hirtipes species-group is provided.
