Abstract

A novel stilbene with dimethylchromene ring, 3,2',4'-trihydroxy-6'',6''- dimethyl-pyrano(3'',2'':4,5)-trans-stilbene, named artocarbene, has been isolated from the heartwood of Artocarpus incisus.
