Abstract

A method to stabilize stripe domains for vertical Bloch lines storage loops in a Bloch line memory has been developed. Multi-stripe domains are successfully stabilized by surrounding each of stripe domains with a closed wall. This is achieved by generating a comb-like domain at one end of the main groove and by stretching straight the domain in parallel into the regions between main grooves and by combining the domain at the other end of the main groove. Subsidiary grooves are used for assisting the domain in straight stretching. The multi-stripe domains stabilization has been confirmed for the first time to be suitable for use in a Bloch line memory.
