N2 - Semiconductor nanoparticles are synthesized using a VHF plasma assisted chemical vapor deposition apparatus. Such nanoparticles show a photochromic transition by UV irradiation. The effects of particle size and baking temperature on the stability of the photochromic states are investigated. The possible mechanisms of the photochromic transition are discussed.
