Abstract
A coupled map lattice model is proposed to perform a simulation for growth patterns in a diffusion field. An additional variable corresponding to an order parameter is introduced, and the time evolution of the order parameter variable obeys an absorption rule at the interface. Various types of morphology including the DLA-like pattern are obtained by changing the boundary conditions and the absorption rule.
