Abstract

The high speed impact damage in CFRP laminates was experimentally and numerically investigated. The impact damages were observed using optical and X-Ray CT microscopy. The dynamic finite element analysis was performed to simulate the damage process introducing cohesive elements. The simulation shows good correlation with the experimental results.
