A Case of Retroperitoneal Malignant Mesenchymoma

Abstract

A 55-year-old man was admitted to our hospital with cheif complains of general fatigue and rt scrotum pain. Ultrasonography and computed tomography showed a retroperitoneal tumor (sized 10 cm X 10 cm). On March 19, 1997, the tumor resection and right radical nephrectomy was performed. Histologically, the lesion contained leiomyosarcomatous, chondrosarcomatous and liposarcomatous components. After the tumor resection, he received radiation therapy (cobalt) of 40.8 Gy, and he is well now without local recurrence and metastasis.
